Automotive supplier NNG LLC is opening a new office in Metro Detroit.
The Hungary-based company, which specializes in software for automotive infotainment and navigation systems, announced the opening of its new North American Automotive offices in Birmingham.
The new office will house the company’s North American senior executives, as well as sales, marketing, supply chain management and engineering support teams. A spokesman said the company plans to grow occupancy from five to 12 to support operations.
“The North American market remains a significant opportunity for NNG and will be a critical proving ground for our new technologies,” said Jim Robnett, NNG vice president of business development, in a statement. “Suburban Detroit is the focal point of the automotive industry.
Robnett, a former director of Chrysler’s (now FCA US) Uconnect infotainment systems, will lead the Metro Detroit office at 320 Martin.
The company’s award-winning iGO Navigation Software is currently installed in more than 20 million devices worldwide with more than 30 million signed orders from 34 global car brands.
