Detroit-based full service firm Marx Layne & Company has widened its presence in the Wolverine State with the forthcoming addition of a second location in Grand Rapids.
The agency’s Grand Rapids outpost, located in the historic Waters Building on Ottawa Ave., will officially open on September 1.
It will be initially staffed by the agency’s team in Farmington Hills and will begin to add employees from the local area by the end of the year.
Marx Layne president Michael Layne told O’Dwyer’s that the new office will support the agency’s ongoing media relations and stakeholder engagement activities both in the region and statewide.
“Our agency has worked with clients throughout Michigan for more than 30 years,” Layne said. “Grand Rapids has increasingly been recognized as a dynamic community to both work and live, making it the ideal choice to open a branch office to serve and grow our West Michigan client base.”
Marx Layne, which was founded in 1987 and staffs more than two-dozen, specializes in media relations, crisis, public affairs, special events and digital marketing.
