| Michigan Association of CPAs to Offer Complimentary Tax Preparation for U.S. Military Personnel |

MACPA Volunteers Will Prepare Tax Returns At No Charge Members of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MACPA) will participate in the organization’s second annual Military Personnel Tax Return Program. By appointment, the volunteers will prepare tax returns, at no charge, for members of the military who are on active duty or in the reserves. Spouses are welcome to participate. Participants will go through a short screening process in order for volunteers to gain a better understanding of their particular tax preparation needs. "It is amazing to see what our country’s military personnel do for this country every day," said MACPA Board Member and Program Chair Paul McDonald. "Helping them out with their tax returns is the least we can do." The Military Personnel Tax Return Program was created after McDonald and MACPA President and CEO Peggy Dzierzawski met with Naval officers at Willow Run Airport and discussed how the MACPA could help the Armed Forces.
