But the real celebrity at the Wolfgang Puck Grille inside the MGM Grand Detroit is not Mr. Puck himself. It's Executive Chef Marc Djozlija, who has worked for Puck for nearly two decades and has opened all of the eponymous Grilles. Lucky for us, Djozlija has stuck around for awhile, and the Detroit dining scene is all the better for it.
Wolfgang Puck Grille tends to get the shaft in discussions of "The Best Restaurants in Detroit." Is it because it's in a casino? No, that's not an issue for Mina's properties. Because it has a celeb chef name attached? That certainly hasn't slowed the Roast train. Maybe because it's fine dining presented in a casual atmosphere, or because there are three other such Grilles in other major cities? Whatever the case, the AAA four-diamond WPG deserves its time in the spotlight.
Djozlija has created a menu that is undoubtedly fine dining while still being accessible. You want a burger and a beer? You got it (but make no mistake it will be a DAMN GOOD burger and beer). Pizza?
