Glen Plake - the Godfather of Extreme Skiing - will be in Birmingham for the Michigan premiere of In Deep, a new ski movie.

Plake will be at Don Thomas Sporthaus to meet fans and sign autographs on Saturday, November 7 from noon until 2 p.m., before attending In Deep with his fans.
Following the viewing, an afterglow will take place at Dick ODows (160 W. Maple Road) where free appetizers and one drink ticket will be provided. A raffle will also be hosted with ski-related items from Don Thomas Sporthaus

Skiing legend in town to talk snow and sign autographs as part of promotion for movie, In Deep
Bloomfield Hills, Mich.- Don Thomas Sporthaus, the Birmingham, Mich., based premier retailer of skis, snowboards and winter sports equipment and apparel, is presenting In Deep from Matchstick Productions (MSP) on Saturday, November 7 at Palladium 12 in downtown Birmingham at 8:00 pm.
In conjunction with the films Michigan premiere, Don Thomas is bringing Glen Plake to its store and to the film for meet and greet and autograph opportunities. Plake, who is widely acknowledged as the godfather of extreme sports, is a pioneer of American Freestyle skiing. Throughout the ski world, he is immediately recognizable for his trademark Mohawk. He is known to frequent the best ski sites around the world without prior notice, including several in Michigan, always garnering a crowd and a following of fans everywhere he goes.
Shot in high-definition, MSP brings it award winning, non-stop action approach to In Deep. The film takes an original look at the skiers who have the overwhelming desire to get out on the mountain, wherever and whenever the opportunity presents itself, the deeper and higher the better. Each skier seeks excitement over the sport in their own unique way, whether it be a double cork 1260, a deep turn on a stormy day or ripping a giant AK line.
