SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN McDONALD’S HOSTS SPECIAL EVENT WITH ACTRESS CATHERINE HICKLAND IN CELEBRATION OF NEW FRAPPÉ
Customers invited for free Frappé sample and meet and greet with actress Catherine Hickland
Brighton, MI (November 2009) – McDonald’s is introducing its newest McCafé beverage, the Frappé, with events designed to complement this indulgent treat.
McDonald’s customers and metro Detroiters are invited for a meet and greet on Fri., Nov. 20 with actress, author and cosmetic owner, Catherine Hickland. Hickland is best known for her role as Lindsay Rappaport on ABC daytime drama “One Life to Live” for the past eleven years.
“Frappés are an indulgent treat and we’d like to take this opportunity to treat our customers as we celebrate the introduction of our newest beverage,” said Willie Blue, marketing supervisor for the McDonald’s Michigan Region.
The meet and greet will be held from 9:30 until 11:30 am at the McDonald’s restaurant located at 42655 12 Mile Road in Novi. During the event, customers will be offered a free sample mocha or caramel Frappé, available inside the restaurant only.
McDonald’s also will host the McCafé Frappé Indulgence event from noon to 2 pm at the same location. At this private, invitation-only event, McDonald’s will pamper some local moms with a McDonald’s Premium Salad and Frappé for lunch, professional massages, and beauty and make-up secretsfrom Hickland, owner of Cat Cosmetics.
Frappés are indulgent beverages blended with ice and a hint of coffee and a choice of rich chocolate or velvety caramel, topped with a creamy whipped cream and chocolate or caramel drizzle. Frappés are available in 12-, 16- and 22-ounce sizes in caramel or mocha flavors.
McCafé espresso-based coffee drinks brings a variety of customizable beverages to McDonald’s consumers nationwide, including Lattes, Cappuccinos, and Mochas as well as hot and iced Premium Roast brewed coffees and hot chocolate.
